A dwarven highland valley whose great loch is held back by the Stonewrought Dam.
East of Dun Morogh lies Loch Modan, a cool highland valley of pine and birch around a great loch held back by the Stonewrought Dam, one of the wonders of dwarven engineering. Few remember that a Dark Iron architect designed it. The town of Thelsamar keeps the road, and Algaz Station guards the pass north to the Wetlands.
The valley remembers the Second War, when the Horde overran it before Ironforge’s dwarves drove them back. Today the danger rises from below: excavations such as Ironband’s woke troggs from the deep, Mo’grosh ogres hold the hills, and Dark Iron dwarves have been striking at the dam itself.
