Hillsbrad Foothills

Hillsbrad’s green, fertile hills lie just south of the old kingdom of Alterac. Two towns face each other here: Alliance Southshore on the coast and the Forsaken outpost of Tarren Mill in the hills, and their feud keeps the fields bloody. Murlocs and the Syndicate add to the trouble.

On a rise to the east stands Durnholde Keep, once the headquarters of the orc internment camps, where Lord Aedelas Blackmoore raised the young Thrall as a gladiator before he escaped to free his people; the Syndicate now holds its ruins. In Forever, the quests that open the way into the City of Dalaran begin in both towns, and ships call at Southshore.
