Levels 1–10
Snowbound valleys around Ironforge, home of the dwarves and of the gnomes who lost their city.
Ringed by the peaks of Khaz Modan, Dun Morogh is a land of snowfields, frozen lakes and dwarven watchtowers. Its heart is Ironforge, the mountain city of the Bronzebeard clan under King Magni, while young dwarves and gnomes first take up arms in sheltered Coldridge Valley and around the brewing village of Kharanos. Frostmane trolls and burrowing troggs trouble the valleys.
To the west lies Gnomeregan, the marvel of gnomish engineering, lost when troggs boiled up from below and the defenders’ desperate flood of radiation poisoned the city. Its survivors now live as guests in Ironforge. In Forever, the royal tombs of the Hall of Thanes beneath the city have been broken into, and Dark Iron intruders are suspected.
