The old heartland of Arathor, where Stromgarde lies in ruins and three factions fight over the remains.
The Arathi Highlands were the heartland of Arathor, the first human empire, founded by King Thoradin with its capital at Strom. Its successor, Stromgarde, now lies largely in ruins in the southwest, where Prince Galen Trollbane’s defenders wage a three-way guerrilla war against the Syndicate and the Boulderfist ogres. Thoradin’s Wall still marks the old border to the west.
The Alliance gathers at Refuge Pointe. The Horde holds Hammerfall, a former internment camp named in honour of Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer, who fell freeing his people. Witherbark trolls haunt the hills, and the Thandol Span links the highlands to the Wetlands.
