Lordaeron’s blighted farmlands, where the Scourge holds Andorhal and Uther’s tomb is the last sacred ground.
The Western Plaguelands were once among Lordaeron’s richest farmlands; now a grey mist hangs over sick fields and the undead roam abandoned farmsteads. The ruined town of Andorhal, where Kel’Thuzad’s cult spread its plagued grain, is the Scourge’s largest stronghold here, and plague cauldrons poison the fields around it. On an island in Darrowmere Lake, the Barov family’s keep of Caer Darrow hides the Scholomance, a school of necromancy.
The Scarlet Crusade fights from Hearthglen in the north, the Alliance from Chillwind Camp, and the Forsaken hold the Bulwark on the border with Tirisfal. Uther’s Tomb, the resting place of the Lightbringer, is the one consecrated place of peace.
