A haunted pine forest on Lordaeron’s west coast, contested by the Forsaken, worgen and the last of its human folk.
Silverpine Forest runs along Lordaeron’s rugged western coast, its silver-barked pines now sickly and wrapped in mist. The Forsaken hold the north from the Sepulcher, while human survivors and mages sent from Dalaran cling to Ambermill and the south. Beyond them, Gilneas has sealed itself away behind the Greymane Wall.
The forest’s deepest shadow is Shadowfang Keep, once Baron Silverlaine’s castle. During the Third War the Dalaran archmage Arugal summoned worgen to fight the Scourge, lost control of them and went mad; now he calls the beasts his children. His curse has reached nearby Pyrewood Village, whose people turn into worgen when night falls.
