Stranglethorn Vale

Stranglethorn Vale was the heartland of the Gurubashi trolls, whose empire once ruled the jungle from Zul’Gurub. Their stone cities now crumble under the vines, still haunted by jungle trolls, while ogres, naga and the vale’s notorious strangle-thorns make every path perilous. Hunters flock to Nesingwary’s Expedition, the Horde holds Grom’gol Base Camp, and Alliance rebels camp in the north.

At the southern tip, the goblins of Booty Bay run a lawless harbour beside the pirates of the Blackwater Raiders, and fighters of every race meet in the old Gurubashi Arena. In Forever, ancient troll ruins have risen from the sea west of Grom’gol: the Drowned City, now roamed by trolls and naga.
