The Sunken Temple in the Swamp of Sorrows, where Atal'ai priests still try to call their blood god Hakkar.
The Atal'ai were troll priests who wanted to bring Hakkar the Soulflayer, the blood god, into the world, and the struggle to stop them tore the Gurubashi Empire apart more than a thousand years ago. Beaten and driven out, they built a temple in the Swamp of Sorrows to ready his return, until the Aspect Ysera discovered the plan and sank it into the mire.
Green dragons have watched the drowned ruins ever since, yet the Atal'ai endured and still pray to Hakkar under Jammal'an the Prophet. Deeper down lingers the Shade of Eranikus, Ysera's consort, his mind darkened by the Emerald Nightmare.
