Kel'Thuzad's school of necromancy in the crypts under Caer Darrow, handed to the Scourge by the Barov family.
On an island in Darrowmere Lake, in the Western Plaguelands, stands Caer Darrow, once the keep of the noble Barov family. When the wizard Kel'Thuzad gathered followers for his Cult of the Damned, he promised immortality in the Lich King's name, and the Barovs gave him their keep and its crypts. The cult turned the crypts into the Scholomance, a school where necromancers trained to spread the plague.
The Barovs got their wish in the worst way and now haunt the halls as undead. The lich Ras Frostwhisper rules the school for the Scourge, Darkmaster Gandling serves as its headmaster, and the Ravenian lurks below, ready to devour weak students.
