Blackrock Depths

More than two centuries ago, the Dark Iron sorcerer-thane Thaurissan tried to win a lost war with a desperate summoning and called up Ragnaros the Firelord instead. The blast raised Blackrock Mountain and bound his clan to the Firelord's will. Their descendants still labour for Ragnaros in the burning tunnels beneath the mountain.

Blackrock Depths is their realm: a prison, the arena called the Ring of Law, the Grim Guzzler tavern, the Black Forge and Shadowforge City itself. There Emperor Dagran Thaurissan sits on his throne beside Princess Moira Bronzebeard, whose father, King Magni of Ironforge, believes she is held there by a spell.
