Troll

Trolls once ruled vast empires: the Gurubashi in the southern jungles, the Amani in the forests of the north, and the Zandalari, who call themselves the first of all trolls. Wars with the night elves, the high elves and the humans broke those empires, and most tribes still nurse old hatreds and pray to the loa, the spirit gods of their ancestors.

The Darkspear tribe is different. Exiled from Stranglethorn by rival tribes, the Darkspears were fighting for their island home when Thrall's storm-tossed fleet arrived; their chieftain Sen'jin died there, and his son Vol'jin swore the tribe to the Horde. They settled the Echo Isles off Durotar, though the witch doctor Zalazane's dark magic has driven them to Sen'jin Village on the mainland. In Forever Darkspear Raiders also contest the Darkspear Islands off Dustwallow Marsh, and trolls can become warlocks.
