Tauren

The tauren are towering, peaceful nomads who honor the Earth Mother and have roamed the plains of Kalimdor for ages. In the years of the Third War they were hounded by the centaur, until Thrall's newly arrived Horde helped Cairne Bloodhoof's people reach the safety of Mulgore.

Cairne united many scattered tribes and founded Thunder Bluff on great mesas above Mulgore’s grasslands, and the tauren joined the Horde out of gratitude and respect. Their druids learned from Malfurion Stormrage himself, and their shaman and hunters keep old traditions alive. Rival tribes such as the Grimtotem, who resent the bond with the orcs, remain a constant worry. Young tauren begin at Camp Narache in Mulgore.
