Teldrassil

After the Third War cost them their immortality, the night elves’ druids grew a new World Tree off Kalimdor’s northern shore. They named it Teldrassil, “crown of the earth”, and built Darnassus among its branches, a city of moonlit temples where High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind leads her people.

The tree was planted without the blessing of the Dragon Aspects, and its growth has not been clean. Corruption has crept into its wildlife and turned the Gnarlpine furbolgs savage. Night elf novices begin in Shadowglen, and boats from Rut’theran Village at the roots link the island with Darkshore.
