Shaman ask the spirits of earth, fire, water and air for aid; lost to the orcs for a generation, the tradition was restored by Thrall.
Shaman speak with the spirits of earth, fire, water and air, and they ask rather than command. On Draenor the orc shaman were their people's guides until Ner'zhul's corruption replaced them with warlocks, and for a generation the elements would not answer the orcs at all. Thrall restored the tradition, taught by Drek'Thar of the Frostwolves, and rebuilt the Horde around it.
The tauren of Mulgore and the Darkspear trolls keep shamanic ways of their own, and Thrall still leads the shaman of Orgrimmar. Forever adds two newcomers: dwarves, who had no shaman in the original game, and the Windshaper Skyborne of Zephras Isle, whose island hangs in Skywall, the Elemental Plane of Air.
