Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker

In an ancient war between fire and air, Ragnaros and his lieutenants Garr and Baron Geddon defeated Thunderaan, Prince of Air. The Firelord fed on his essence but could not devour all of it, so he sealed the remainder in a talisman, broke it in two, and gave one half to each lieutenant: the Bindings of the Windseeker.

In the original game, raiders took both halves from Garr and Geddon in the Molten Core and brought them to Highlord Demitrian in Silithus. With the Firelord’s own essence and bars of enchanted elementium, the bindings summoned the weakened Prince; once he was defeated, Demitrian forged his remaining power into Thunderfury, a blade that crackles with living storm.
