Taelan's Hammer

On his seventh birthday, young Taelan received a miniature war hammer from his father, Tirion Fordring, a copy of Tirion’s own. After Tirion was exiled for defending the orc Eitrigg, Taelan’s mother told the boy his father had died and took him to a false grave at the Undercroft in the Eastern Plaguelands, where he buried the hammer and the memory with it.

Years later Taelan rose to become Highlord of the Scarlet Crusade in Hearthglen. In the original game, adventurers recovered the hammer for the ageing Tirion and helped Taelan see what the Crusade had become. As he fled Hearthglen, Grand Inquisitor Isillien cut him down before his father’s eyes; Tirion slew Isillien and vowed to reforge the Silver Hand.
