The fount of arcane power at the heart of Quel'Thalas.
Dath'Remar Sunstrider poured a stolen vial from the Well of Eternity into a lake where ley lines meet, and the Sunwell blazed to life. For millennia it fed the magic and culture of the high elves. During the Third War, Arthas used its waters to raise Kel'Thuzad as a lich and defiled the fount, and its loss left the survivors with a lasting hunger for magic.
